SERVE Letter July 2022

Independence Day is celebrated every year in America on July 4th, which is also known simply as The Fourth of July. The day commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, signed by all 13 colonies, marking the beginning of American Independence. Our independence, republic, national identity, and commitment to the high ideals that form the basis of our political order are not simply the consequences of the Revolution. They are living legacies of the Revolution, more critical now as we face the challenges of the modern world than ever before. Without understanding them, we find our history incomprehensible, our present confused, and our future dark. Understanding them, we recognize our common origins, appreciate our current challenges, and can advocate successfully for the Revolutionary ideals that are the only foundation for the future happiness of the world.

The 4th of July, as beautiful as it is to celebrate, can also bring accidental property fires due to fireworks. House fires are one of the more terrible destructions to your property. To start with, they are very life-threatening, and they can generate a lot of wreckage from the flames and soot. Brookstone Restoration offers fast and thorough fire damage recovery services to home and business owners affected by the devastation of fire. Getting an expert to come to your property as soon as possible is essential to help get your home back in order. Our crews are ready 24/7 to immediately secure the structure and minimize any additional damage. Once secured, we thoroughly assess the damage and prepare an estimate for your insurance carrier. Fire restoration may involve things like property board up, demolition, and reconstruction on top of tasks such as debris, odor and soot removal, contents cleaning and working to remove any disturbing hazards such as lead and asbestos.

With this month's Serve Letter themed around independence and freedom, we wanted to highlight a special holiday taking place later this month. Monday, July 25th, is National Hire a Veteran Day! Military veterans are the ultimate team players, as this is something ingrained in them from the first moment they enter service. They are accustomed to thinking about what is best for their team and what they can do to strengthen and improve the groups they are part of. On top of that, veterans have a strong work ethic and organizational skills. They are accountable, punctual, and have excellent leadership qualities. If you're interested in hiring a veteran for your team, you can find qualified applicants by contacting a local Veteran Employment Representative. Go to the U.S. Department of Labor's website and select your state from the drop-down menu to locate a representative in your area. They will refer you to available applicants and guide you through the process of signing up for VA support.
