SERVE Letter March 2022

We wanted to take this time to introduce you to Mike Whitcomb’s two sons, Rob and Andy, as they take on more of an ownership role within our company. We introduced you to Rob last month, and you can read more about him here, next up, Andy. Andy received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Auburn University in 2015. He worked part-time for Brookstone through college but came on full-time after graduation. He wears many hats around here but now acts as Brookstone’s Chief Financial Officer. Andy married his wife, Katie, in 2018. The two met in middle school but did not start dating until later in college. June, our adorable office dog, was their first child, but they now have a handsome one-year-old son, Rhodes. We will be sharing more from Andy in the coming months.

For the most part, springtime in Alabama is a beautiful time of year. The flowers are blooming, the days are longer, the birds, frogs, and crickets start to sing again, and the temperature is…bearable. But the springtime can also lead to some severe storms that could potentially cause damage to your property. Meteorological spring begins March 1, kicking off what is arguably the most active weather season of the year. Thunderstorms cause most of the severe spring weather. They can bring lightning, tornadoes, and flooding. Severe weather reaches its peak in the spring as cold air from the north frequently clashes with warm, humid air from the Gulf of Mexico, setting the stage for intense thunderstorms over parts of the central and southern United States. Such thunderstorms also may generate large hail and damaging winds. Major outbreaks can occur when intense springtime storm systems produce large, persistent areas that support tornado development. For much of the world, this happens in spring and summer.

Stay safe this spring and please give us a call. 1-800-699-1970.

Here at Brookstone, one of our biggest passions is getting involved and making a difference in our community. We work with many local and national non-profits throughout the year, including JDRF, Feed my Starving Children, Smile-a-Mile, and the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries. We would love to learn more about any organizations you and your family or business participate in. Please send us any info here.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 says, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times having all that you need, you will abound in every good work”.
