It's our favorite time of year again, Football season. While you may or may not be a diehard fan, lots of people are ready for the season to get started, not only because of the game but because of all that goes along with it! Many Americans would suggest that football is the best sport in the world, and we would agree. Football means tailgates, rivalries, togetherness, and traditions. The Whitcomb family is a house divided with Rob graduating from the University of Alabama and Andy graduating from Auburn University. However, we still love to get the families together, watch the games, and enjoy spending time together. So help us settle one ongoing debate – War Eagle or Roll Tide?

Annually, Alabama is consistently in the top 5 states in the U.S. that receive some sort of severe weather in September. Severe weather includes natural threats such as large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes, and flash flooding. The highest severe storm threat here in Alabama is tornados. Texas leads the U.S. in total tornado reports this year with 119, while Alabama and Mississippi round out the top three states. Birmingham has the highest threat level in the state, with Mobile coming in close second and Huntsville in third. That said, ensure you are prepared and have an emergency plan in place.
